About Trademarks, Etc.
Trademarks, Etc. began operations in March, 1997. I created the company after a very ordinary afternoon during Christmas time of 1996.
Sitting in a movie theater enjoying the very popular film, Jerry Maguire, a light when off in my head during the telephone scene when Tom Cruise and Cuba Gooding, Jr were yelling "Show Me the Money" at each other. Thinking that this may become a very big catch phrase, I quickly left the theater to put together a clothing trademark application for "Show Me the Money."
Low and behold I was right as 26 other applicants applied for this phrase after I did, including TriStar Pictures who made the film. After several weeks of negotiating with TriStar and being granted approval by the U.S. Patent and Trademark office, I assigned my trademark rights over to TriStar Pictures and thus the idea to launch Trademarks, Etc. became a reality.
With 14 full years in business now, we are here to answer any and all your questions and hopefully be the company you choose to assist you with all your trademark needs.
Sincerely,
Haig Fisher
